"As a child, I remember pulling strings to send flying toys soaring into the sky. I was always inspired by how for a split second, the toy was afloat mid-air. After that, I experimented with electric fans in an attempt to make objects fly. However, I felt that it was better for the fan and the object to be connected in some way. Instead of making it fly, I made it so that it looked like the pen and the fan were dancing together, leaving behind the result of their intertwined bodies."

"어렸을 적 줄로 잡아 당겨 flying toys을 하늘로 날려 보낸 적이 있었는데, 잠깐이나마 하늘에 둥실 떠있는 그 물체는 항상 나에게 영감을 주었다. 이후 나는 여러 가지 실험을 통해 선풍기를 매개체로 여러 물체들을 날아오르게 하였지만, 그것보단 그 물체들이 선풍기와 서로 엮어있는 상태가 좋다고 생각했다. 공중에 떠있게 하는 대신 선풍기와 볼펜이 서로 만나 춤을 추는 것 같이 느껴졌고 그것들이 남은 흔적들은 서로가 나눈 몸의 대화의 결과물이 되었다."
