2011 Acupressure Plates

"This work of mine is a sculpture series that has the theme, "the senses". I cast my face using concrete and set it up in the acupressure section of the park. This was done so that the audience could experience the positive effects of acupressure while stepping on my face. I often cast parts of my body and change them into a beneficial form because I wish to express my emotions to the audience using not only the visual senses but with a variety of senses including the auditory, tactile or olfactory senses."

"이 작품은 감각을 주제로 한 나의 조각 시리즈들이다. 나는 나의 얼굴을 캐스팅하여 콘크리트로 떠내어 이것을 공원 지압하는 장소에 설치하였다. 이는 관객들이 나의 얼굴을 밟으면서 나의 얼굴 형태 덕분에 지압효과를 느낄 수 있게 하였다. 나는 종종 나의 신체 일부분을 캐스팅하여 그것을 어떤 이로운 형태로 전환시키는데,이는 미술이 보통 표현하는 감각인 시각을 넘어서 다른 여러 감각들을 통해 관객들에게 나의 감정을 전달하고 싶기 때문이다."
