2020 live feedback II

live Feedback II, iPhone, projector, computer, speakers and instagram, installation, 2020

There is an iPhone in the middle of exhibition space and  the iPhone captures in front wall. The shot taken from iPhone is broadcasted through the Instagram Live function, and the image on the screen wall connected to the computer is listening to the live broadcast. This results in video feedback, which produces repetitive images and sounds every 10 seconds, and gradually the images and sounds are abstracted by the feedback system.

In the computer, a macro program is being played back, so that the end of listening to live broadcasts is occasionally repeated or connected again. Therefore, the image and sound that are fed back every moment change randomly, and constitute a scene. Audiences can access this live broadcast account in real time, and can engage in constantly changing images and sounds by leaving comments or making a sound around the iPhone that's being broadcast.
