2017 THIS IS NOT AN EXHIBITION

THIS IS NOT AN EXHIBITION, POSTER, 2017

"This exhibition was a result of the work of artists from a variety of different fields including design, sculpture, painting, and art critics. Nowadays, many so called "exhibits" feature artists that have nothing to do with the exhibit theme, or even have artists constrainedly fit their theme to match that of the exhibit. Our exhibit was a discussion regarding this situation, and the artists involved met together to share their thoughts on this matter and directly wrote them on the wall of an old public bathhouse, Heng-hwatang."

"The audience is invited to sit in the middle of an empty room reading the various scribbles on the wall, hearing an anonymous voices echoing from somewhere in the distance. Then, in another room, they can see specious works of art with fake names and artists that are actually just common items found near Heng-hwatang. This stark contrast between the two rooms will emphasize our message. In the past, Heng-hwatang used to be a place of communication for the people living in the surrounding area, and through this exhibit, we were able to revitalize that meaning by actively sharing our thoughts with the audience."
